🌞 What will the weather be like?

Santorini in August is warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures typically in the mid-80s°F. Evenings are pleasant with a light breeze, especially near the water. We recommend dressing in lightweight, breathable fabrics and bringing a light layer for after sunset.

🧳 What should I pack?

We recommend packing:

  • Light, breathable clothing (linen, cotton, silk)
  • Comfortable walking shoes (cobblestone streets and steps are common)
  • Dressy sandals, or wedges, for events, 
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat
  • A light shawl or jacket for evenings

🚶‍♀️ Is Santorini easy to walk around?

Santorini is beautiful but can be hilly, with cobblestone paths and steps. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended for getting around.

🚖 How do we get around the island?

Transportation to wedding events will be arranged for our guests. Please check the Transportation page for more details. But, the best way to get around the island, other than foot, will be taxis, private transfers, scooters, cars, etc. which are all available to rent. We recommend arranging transportation in advance when possible. 

⏰ When should we arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 1–2 days before the wedding to settle in, adjust to the time zone, and fully enjoy the island.

🌊 Will events be outdoors?

Yes, our events will take place outdoors (land and sea) to take advantage of Santorini’s stunning views. Choose your attire with warm weather and sunshine in mind.

💳 What currency is used?

Greece uses the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted, but it’s helpful to carry some cash for smaller purchases.

🛂 Should I check my passport to travel to Greece?

We kindly recommend checking your passport well in advance to ensure it is not expired and will remain valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.
